Cherry/plum (stone fruit consultation)

In collaboration with Delphy and CAF, Fruitconsult offers a basic package for cherries and plums under the name StonefruitConsult . This package includes approximately 30 cultivation newsletters per year, as well as participation in pruning meetings, a customer day, and a summer excursion.

Organic fruit growing

The organic basic package gives you access to all the information about organic fruit growing, with a focus on crop protection. During the growing season, you'll receive updates several times a week on scab, insects, other fungi, and related measures. The website includes additional documents such as approved additives, mixing options, and foliar feeding schedules.

Red currant

We offer independent cultivation advice for red currants . With up-to-date knowledge of varieties, cultivation techniques, and crop protection, we help growers optimize their production and quality. The basic package includes:

Research

Fruitconsult conducts independent, practice-oriented research in cultivation techniques, fertilization, and crop protection. This strengthens our advice and demonstrates the effectiveness of our products in practice. Companies interested in having their products tested or demonstrated can contact us for a suitable approach. Research takes place at the Fruit Research Centre (FRC) in Randwijk.

• Daily supervision of fruit growers;
• Managing your own customer base;
• Keep up to date with new technologies, cultivation methods and innovations and use them
implement in practice;
• Organizing and presenting group meetings;
• Supervising and assisting with practice-oriented research in collaboration with the team

• A “Crop Protection Advisory” license is an advantage;
• You are proactive, driven and able to manage your own agenda;
• You are service-oriented, stress-resistant, flexible and a real team player;
• You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both
oral and written. Command of German is an advantage.

Finally

We also welcome candidates without the necessary experience. As a starter you will get the chance to develop yourself as a junior and grow to the level of senior crop advisor.

Internship at Fruitconsult

Fruitconsult is always open to interns. As an intern it is important to develop yourself, Fruitconsult and FRC Randwijk offer ample opportunities for this.

Interns from WO/HBO can participate in the research and advice that Fruitconsult carries out within Fruitconsult. The intern will spend most of the time at FRC Randwijk and will conduct research at FRC Randwijk in collaboration with the researchers of Fruitconsult. However, each intern is also offered the opportunity to spend a few days during the internship with the advisors of Fruitconsult during company visits. In this way, an intern gets a good picture of the fruit growing sector in the Netherlands.

Interns from MBO are also very welcome at Fruitconsult. There are also many opportunities for MBO interns to further develop themselves. An MBO intern will spend a large part of their time at FRC Randwijk. On the one hand, FRC Randwijk performs similar activities as those performed at a fruit growing company. However, this is often on a smaller scale, with many more different crops (apples, pears, cherries, plums and red currants), varieties and plant systems. In addition to the activities at FRC Randwijk, the intern will also have the opportunity to occasionally help with the research that is carried out at FRC Randwijk by Fruitconsult.
